1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Purpose: To ensure fair, transparent, and consistent student assessment aligned with learning outcomes.
Scope: All theory, practical, and project-based assessments across all programs.

2.0 DEFINITIONS

  • Formative Assessment: Ongoing evaluation during course
  • Summative Assessment: End-term examination
  • Internal Assessment: Continuous evaluation by faculty
  • External Assessment: Evaluation by external expert

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

4.0 PROCEDURE STEPS

Step 1: Define assessment plan at course inception

Step 3: Communicate assessment pattern to students
Step 4: Prepare assessment calendar

Step 5: Faculty prepares question bank
Step 6: Academic Head moderates questions
Step 7: Ensure coverage of all learning objectives
Step 8: Maintain confidentiality of question papers

Step 9: Issue hall tickets 3 days before exam
Step 10: Arrange invigilators (1 per 20 students)
Step 11: Ensure exam room readiness:

  • Proper seating arrangement

  • Emergency medical kit

Step 12: Strictly follow exam timing

Step 13: Faculty evaluates within 7 days of exam
